Dr. Alan B. Salisbury
Major General, US Army (Ret.)
Dr. Salisbury served as the commander of the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC). Following his successful military career, he served as President of Contel Technology Center until its acquisition by GTE. He also served a 2-year term as Executive Vice President and COO of the Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation, an R&D consortium owned by 22 companies.
Most recently, he served as President and Chairman of the U.S. subsidiary of Learning Tree International, a leading worldwide provider of information technology and technical management training and was part of the management team that took Learning Tree through its successful IPO in December 1995. Presently he is an independent consultant in the Information Technology industry and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of several corporations. Dr. Salisbury is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and holds both MS and PhD degrees from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
