This position involves producing both static and dynamic custom eLearning content using diverse multimedia and web-based developmental skills. Candidate should have strong experience developing in Flash, as well as its surrounding technologies. Database and middleware programming language experience is highly desired. We strongly encourage thinking “out of the box” and constantly push for newer and more engaging ways to incorporate technology.
Although this is primarily a development position, the candidate should have a good eye for design, experience with graphical programs, and the ability to create and manipulate graphical elements. This position also requires the ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and handle very tight deadlines. |
Tasks |
- Use existing HTML and Flash-based templates to develop static and dynamic content elements and pages for courses
- Aid in developing new templates and custom tools for better efficiency on projects
- Develop course navigation framework
- Create supporting graphics, where applicable
- Collaborate with other development team members
- Work with project leaders to meet critical milestones
- Brainstorm with learning designers on how to incorporate their developmental ideas into a course
- Logically plan out work flow to avoid last-minute “work arounds”
- Follow storyboards to create course content and ALWAYS review work for accuracy during and after completion
- Troubleshoot development issues
- Provide the necessary expertise to clients during the business development process

Qualifications |
Education
- 4-year college degree preferred with concentration in one of the following areas:
- Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
Experience
- Working with templates and design standards
- Formatting and layout of text and graphics
- Designing conceptual graphics or to illustrate technical information
- Developing technical graphics from written instructions
- Use animations and simulations to enhance presentation materials
- Apply creative design to technical information
- Working on a team and individually
- Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Good organization skills
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong team skills
- Understanding of the needs of the learner and the usability of the interface
