ARI Awarded Course Development Contract by Air Force

Course to streamline, update Air Force training

Raleigh, NC, May 3, 2004

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) awarded American Research Institute, Inc. (ARI) a fixed-price contract to develop an on-line Airworthiness Certification Course to introduce students to the principals and procedures for air worthiness certification of aircraft. The new course that will be based on content that consists largely of technical white papers and briefings as well as a multitude of referenced policies and procedures.

AFIT expects the course to save time by shortening the amount of classroom time it will take people to become proficient in the subject. The course will also offer managers of individuals responsible for certifying aircraft, and people who interface with the certification process to better understand what is involved.

ARI will deliver the course in four months to run on the AFIT internal Learning Management System.
